most people's myspaces are set to private, and to add them u just click add as friend. but mine, some how, to add me you have to know my last name or email adress, and i dont want that there. most people dont know other people's last names... how can i keep it private still but allow people to add me?

you go to your profile and click where it says spam and then change it so that why anyone you want can add you as a friend.

There is an option that is making your profile do that. You need to check your settings when you set your profile to private.

From your myspace home page.. you go to edit profile then account settings, then to SPAM and there's a whole bunch of options for you.. one of those is friend requests.
You can email Tom.. it might take them a while but they'll fix it.

I believe you need to go to your account settings and change them. You may still keep your profile private if you like and folks can still add you as a friend the same way. You would still recieve a email telling you that this person would like to add you, and you would need to accept them or deny them. Good luck.

well click on it again like if you do want it to request your last name save the changes go back and uncheck it then it works believe that use to happen to me alot
